THYROXYCUT
DIETERS COMPLEX #82
Thyroxycut is a unique weight
loss formula designed to increase metabolism by stimulating the production of
thyroxin, a key thyroid hormone. To achieve these desired results we have used
the highest quality raw materials; raw
thyroid, raw brain, raw adrenal, raw thymus tissue concentrates, and the amino
acid L-tyrosine. Synergistic trace minerals are then added to facilitate proper
endocrine absorption.
Thyroid
Glands Role
The thyroid is a small, butterfly-shaped organ in the neck, located above the
collarbone and below the Adam’s apple. This gland is vital in regulating the
body’s metabolism and calcium balance. Made up of small sacs, the thyroid is
filled with an iodine-rich protein called thyroglobulin, the
thyroid gland secretes two hormones (T4) and the more biologically active T3. Most
of the T3 is created by conversion from T4, which occurs in the liver and
kidneys. Even a small decline in the output of these
hormones, (if sustained over a long period of time); can have profound
consequences for health and well being. The thyroid gland
stimulates the human body’s production and utilization of oxygen at the
cellular level, increasing oxygen levels metabolically burn body fat.
It is wise to test a patient’s thyroid levels if there are any present
health concerns prior to using this product.
L-Tyrosine’s
Role
L-tyrosine
is synthesized from phenylalanine; functions include the formation of
neurotransmitters. These
special chemicals in the brain carry out many very important functions.
Essentially, they help transfer messages throughout structures of the brain's
nerve cells. These nerve cells, called neurons, are organized to control
specialized activities. We each have somewhere between 10-100 billion neurons
within our brains. Whenever we do anything, react, feel emotions, think, our
neurons transmit messages in the form of electrical impulses from one cell to
another. These electrical impulses travel across the neurons at an amazing rate
of speed- less than 1/5,000 of a second. Because they move so quickly, our
brains can react instantaneously to stimuli such as pain.
Depression is linked with a low thyroid function and studies suggest tyrosine supplementation may well be beneficial.
Natural
forms of the thyroid hormone have strong anti-aging benefits for those whose
native thyroid status is less than optimal. When thyroid treatment is adequate
it can help to lower cholesterol, lower homocysteine, prevent advancement of
atherosclerosis, and probably prevent or slow the onset of atherosclerosis. It
may also help lower blood pressure and generally people begin feeling better.
Minerals
and Thyroid Health
There are many minerals essential to the
health of the thyroid gland; the best researched is iodine. Iodine is required
to manufacture the thyroid hormones. Manganese
is required to transport thyroxin hormone in the cell. Zinc is another
essential mineral for optimizing thyroid health. In a study of fourteen healthy
people with primarily high or low serum zinc levels, thyroxin levels tended to
be lower in those people with lower serum zinc.
By supplementing with zinc in those individuals whose serum was low, thyroxin levels increased. There are many different zinc supplements available today and some are absorbed by the body better than others, one of the best sources is zinc picolinate. Selenium plays a role in thyroid hormone metabolism it is now thought that severe selenium deficiency may be a possible cause of goiter.
In
relation to thyroid health copper is another mineral which plays an important
role in the metabolism of the amino acid tyrosine. Although copper deficiency is
uncommon, people taking zinc supplements for more than a few weeks should take
copper (unless they have Wilson’s disease) as zinc interferes with copper
absorption. The safest way of ensuring balance is to take a good quality
multivitamin and mineral supplement.
Stress
and Thyroid Function
Stress
is known to affect thyroid function. The amino acid tyrosine is necessary for
the production of steroid hormones adrenaline and noradrenalin. When the body is
under stress more of these hormones are required and tyrosine reserves are
depleted, leaving the thyroid hormone pathway under functioning. Stress depletes
many of the essential nutrients required for thyroid function – the B
vitamins, vitamin C, zinc and selenium especially.
Individuals who are stressed may therefore require additional adrenal support in order to improve their thyroid function.
Thyroxycut
is safe and effective when used as directed. If you have an underlying health problem, prior to beginning Thyroxycut,
it is recommended that you first with your doctor or health care provider.
Thyroid
Replacement Therapy
To quote a Nobel
Prize 1 winner that addressed this issue in a tangential way. Harvard
cardiologist Bernard Lown deeply admired his chief mentor, Samuel Levine, and
wrote about him in a wonderful book, The Lost Art of Healing 2. His
affection for this brilliant doctor brightens the paragraphs and pages in which
he eulogizes this wise gentleman.
After
Dr. Levine retired, he began seeing Dr. Lown as his personal cardiologist.
Through the roles of student and doctor, Dr. Lown learned a great deal about Dr.
Levine. Perhaps the most interesting observation regarding Dr. Levine is the
following:
"Dr.
Levine was impressed with the brightness and quickness of hyperthyroid (too much
thyroid) patients. He admired them intensely and believed that the condition
protected them against coronary artery disease. I later learned when he became
my patient, that he had taken 3 grains of thyroid daily for more than 30 years.
He maintained that those with increased thyroid function had bright, sparkling
eyes and appeared to be interesting people because personality is conveyed
largely through the eyes. Levine suggested that the universal fascination with
the Mona Lisa stems from her being hyperthyroid. He insisted that a slight stare
makes viewers believe that she is focusing on them and is the basis for the
attention this painting has received over the centuries."
Dr.
Levine is talking here about people with a slight excess of thyroid by current
standards, not severely hyperthyroid people. Because he would rather be slightly
hyperthyroid than slightly hypothyroid (low thyroid), Dr. Levine took a rather
generous dose of natural, desiccated thyroid for many years.
Whether
the good doctor was correct in his appraisal of Mona Lisa, we'll probably never
know. But in regard to other issues, Dr. Levine is increasingly being shown to
be correct. Namely, the benefit of thyroid for the cardiovascular system, the
use of natural, desiccated thyroid, and the value of dosing a patient toward the
upper end of the acceptable range, rather the low end.
Thyroxycut
is a balanced formula containing the following:
Vitamin B-12 (methalcobalamin),
Iodine, magnesium citrate, zinc picolinate, copper gluconate, manganese
gluconate, molybdenum, L-tyrosine, raw brain tissue, raw adrenal tissue, raw
thymus tissue, raw thyroid tissue, chromium picolinate.
Supplement to be taken in conjunction with a healthy diet and regular exercise program. Results may vary.
